Anna-Mariya Hadzhistoyanova

Isterika is an experimental platform focused on club culture, electronic music and visual arts, founded by Anna-Maria Hadzhistoyanova in 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Besides a club night highlighting eclectic sounds and visuals to which Isterika invites international artists, DJ’s and producers, there is also the ‘’Lovers & Friends’’ series, which areinspired by the local alternative scene and its willingness to unite around the music - and since Isterika deeply believes in the potential of the scene and its talents, only local DJ’s are invited.

2020 marked the launch of the Isterika Mix Series, guests of which have been Annna, Mr.Vanderley, Chorbika, Puma & The Dolphin, Niklas Wandt, Ivo Charlie, Garo, Lulu, and Risto.

In 2021, we witnessed the first and super successful two-day long pop-up market in collaboration with KO-OP Gallery, followed by another one in Port.A Gallery later that same year, alongside several jazz nights, a movie premiere and cinema screenings in Sofia.

Artists such as Olivia M Healy, Petra Peterffy, Dusan Lilic, sensi, bird_dot, Pastedko, sa6ettu, Alina Manova, Denislav Golemanov, Billy Mateeva, Mila Robert, etc. have collaborated with Isterika, and guests behind the turntables have been Niklas Wandt, Fluid, Chorbika, Cosmo Vitelli, Bosha, Emil Doesn’t Drive, Lulu2, Puma & The Dophin, Simone Viti, Julieta Intergalactica, Vasil Vladimirov, Dessy Messy, Bat Simo, Clipper, Niki Phoenix, Charlie, Ropotamo Co. and more.

Over the course of the last two years Isterika has become one of Sofia’s favorite club formats and has fostered a colorful and dedicated audience.
