Anna-Mariya Hadzhistoyanova (Bulgaria)
Annna is a Sofia-based DJ, freelance stylist, and founder and manager of Isterika - an experimental platform focused on club culture, electronic music and visual arts.
As a DJ, Annna has been developing a quirky sound expressed by compelling Dj sets, going all the way from world, dub, downtempo, balearica, new beat, afrobeat, and disco to more experimental influences, ambient, electro, leftfield house, heavy beat, techno, and any dimensions in between. She delivers out-of-the-comfort-zone selections, while tenderly looking after the audience's sensations.
Being active within the local scene as a DJ, promoter, event manager, and resident at Tell Me Bar, Annna has played at numerous clubs, art spaces and festivals around the country, and in 2020 was a guest DJ at Dresden Bar in Stuttgart. In 2021, she recorded mixes for radio shows in Paris, Berlin, Istanbul and Sofia.
Annna's experimental platform Isterika carries out a solid program of art and music events, such as energetic night club nights, arts and crafts pop-up markets, jazz evenings, movie projections, monthly mix series, and more.
This fall Annna is joining radio station and label ‘’KOMPONENTI’’ with her own monthly show and will travel to Berlin for her first gig at the legendary ‘’Sameheads’’ club.
