Lorenzo Papanti
Pontedera (Pisa), 1989
He is an italian visual artist, engineer and architect. He completed his studies in architecture and engineering in 2014 at University of Pisa, developing compositional and digital skills. His works and installations constitute hypothetical dimensions, digital hybrid places. The investigation of the physical and mental space represent a constant of his artistic research, aimed at defining the reality through perceptual verification, crossing performative territories and visual operations. His works have been selected and shown in international exhibitions and awards, as Ars Electronica, ADAF Athens Digital Arts Festival, Exibart tv, Les instants video, International Encounters Traverse, Stuttgarter Filmwinter, Media Art Biennale WRO, Intermediaciones, FIVAC, IVAHM, Under the Subway, International Video Art Forum Dammam, CODEC, The WRONG Biennale, Niio AI Art prize, IBRIDA Festival, FILE Festival, MADATAC, Web Biennial Media Arts Fest., Videoart MIDEN, New Media Fest at Torrance Museum Los Angeles, Laguna Art Prize (winner).

Reality A space programmed according to physical laws is populated by humanoid models: their bodies are attracted towards the surface that defines their existence, crushed like carcasses, contracted in digital spasms. Their efforts find an external limit: a physical, biological, social or political limit with witch to collide untill the last breath.
