Petar Sapundzhiev
Petar Sapundjiev is a mixed and new media artist, designer, educator and explorer based in Sofia, Bulgaria. With a background in engineering and environmental research, his creative work explores the overlaps between modern, digital technology and organic natural phenomena and processes. Working between metal, wood, textile, electronics and video, his practice is interdisciplinary aspiring questions about our modern digital identity. Petar has exhibited his work as artist and educator at various events in Bulgaria and New York, US. He works as a research engineer for the Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition.
