Perhaps one of the greatest tragedies of our time resulting from industrialized farming, habitat loss, global warming, deforestation, and synthetic pesticide use is the recent realization that we are in the middle of an insect apocalypse. Seventy-three separate studies estimate that insects have declined by 41% since scientists have been tracking their populations.

The isopods movements are sensed with Artificial Intelligence software and the video images are analyzed to determine their location, number, and speed of movement triggering tragic opera. As music evokes deep emotional responses, tragic opera seems the ideal way to help humans understand the global tragedy before us.
