Brain Projector

Thinking is the most complex cognitive behavior involved in understanding, processing, and transmitting information. It is realized through the elements of thought - symbols, concepts, and prototypes. Thinking allows people to think, interpret, present, and model the world around them.

Trying to imagine and model an image of these definitions, questions kept popping up in my visual brain:

Is there a "visible" difference between a calm and an excited brain?

How does the energy moves berween the left and right hemispheres?

What do all these synaptic impulses look like?

 

At the same time, experimenting with analog visualizations and techniques gained popularity in the 60s and 70s of the last century, from The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin erc. live shows,  the scientific explanations gained a visual form. Thus, after a series of attempts, the installation "Brain Projector" was born.

Using a psychedelic light art show, an overhead projector, and a micro-controller that translates an EEG algorithm into mechanical vibrations, the Brain Projector installation creates an abstract, vivid picture of the electrical activity of my brain.
